Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. reminds residents of upcoming events:

Proper disposal of hazardous materials can help prevent the pollution of our air, drinking water, and environment.

Essex County is hosting 4 collection days this spring so that residents can conveniently and safely dispose of these items.  


Saturday, April 29: Drug Take Back Day — See flyer for sites. In Livingston: Drop Box in LPD Headquarters lobby, 333 S. Livingston Ave.

Livingston Police Department Permanent Drug Drop Box is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Saturday, May 6: Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day — 8:30 am – 4 pm, 125 Fairview Ave., Cedar Grove

Saturday, May 20: Computer & Electronics Recycling Day — 9 am – 3 pm, 125 Fairview Ave., Cedar Grove

Saturday, June 17: Used Tire Collection Day — 9 am – 2 pm, 99 West Bradford Ave., Cedar Grove
