Get Rid of Your Old Medications Safely!

Spring Clean Medicine Cabinet 2015

 Spring Clean Your Medicine Cabinet!

Do you have old, unused, unwanted, or expired medicines in your medicine cabinet?

If so, now is the time to get rid of them!

On April 25th, bring your unwanted medicines to the lobby of the Livingston Police Department Headquarters at 333 S. Livingston Avenue. Officers will be there from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. to collect them. Once collected, members of our Police Department will make sure all of those medications are disposed of properly and safely.

If you can’t make it on April 25th, don’t worry! There’s a permanent drug drop-off box there in the lobby of Police Headquarters. Residents can stop by any time, 24/7, to safely dispose of unwanted drugs.

Why drop off old medicines?

When you dispose of your old medicines by putting them in the trash, they eventually degrade, end up in the soil, and ultimately in the groundwater supply. When you pour them down the drain or flush them down the toilet, they end up in our water supply. Dropping them off is safe and easy – you don’t even have to take them out of their packaging. It couldn’t be easier to stop off & drop off!
