Livingston Youth and Community Services (LYCS) is a community based after-school program that teaches leadership skills, healthy choices  and  life skills to Grades 1-12 in Livingston school district.

Mission & Goals

The mission of LYCS is to reduce the early onset of substance abuse and provide healthy alternative activities for Livingston youth.

Our program is designed to:

  • Teach healthy life choices and the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs to Livingston’s youth.
  • Train Leaders and provide opportunities to practice leadership skills by participating in community service activities and community programs.
  • Provide opportunities for Livingston youth to engage in healthy social interactions.
  • Build stronger healthy families through workshops and programs.

Our curriculum is developmentally age appropriate. LYCS is comprised of five programs:

  • Young Leaders (Grade 1 and Grade 2) meet from 2:40 pm to 3:40 pm at their own school. Meeting days and dates vary to accommodate all schedules.
