Healthy Communities • Healthy Youth (HCHY) is a community organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children in Livingston.
The HCHY initiative is a national effort to bring Search Institute’s paradigm for positive youth development to communities across the country. The initiative, rooted in the institute’s framework of Developmental Assets, provides communities, schools, organizations, and families with resources, technical assistance, and training to launch and sustain long-term efforts to promote the positive development of youth. HCHY Livingston partners with community organizations including the United Way of North Essex, the Search Institute, America’s Promise Alliance, Livingston Clergy Association, Livingston Public Schools, Parent-Teacher Council of Livingston, Livingston Township Council, Township of Livingston Human Services Division, Vision 20/20 Committee of Livingston, Livingston Municipal Alliance Committee (LMAC), Livingston Youth & Community Services (LYCS), West Essex YMCA, Children’s Theater of Livingston, and the Jewish Family Service of Metrowest.
