Registration OPENS Monday, December 15, for Winter Programs

Livingston Senior, Youth & Leisure Services (SYLS) has released its Winter 2015 Program Guide.

Registration opens for Livingston residents on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 8:30 AM. Non-resident registration begins Monday, December 22, 2014 at 8:30 AM

Our Senior & Adult Winter 2015 Newsletter is available on our website. Look for Adult & Senior Programs – Winter 2015 when registering for activities.

Copies of our program guides and Newsletters are available at Town Hall, the Library and SYLS office.

In addition, Livingston Kids’ Camp registration for children entering grades 1-9, Fall 2015, will open online January 1, 2015. Walk-in registration begins Monday, January 5, 2015.


Register online at Community Pass Online Registration or in person at SYLS, 204 Hillside Avenue, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Shining Stars Sports League

An Adapted Sports league for children with special needs. The league is designed to fit the child’s individual needs. A “shadow” is provided to assist the child in clinic style instruction. Basic fundamentals and rules of each sport are taught. Modified indoor and outdoor playing areas are utilized. Structured and repetitive lessons are implemented weekly. Art Open Studio

Our artists will use their skills in creating different projects that they can take home and share with friends and family. Exploring their creativity through multiple disciplines and media they can express themselves through art and design. Open to all ages.

Tuesday,  4:30—6:00 PM


Session Dates:  Jan 6, 13,  20; Feb 3, 10; Mar 3, 10, 17

Location: Monmouth Court Community Center

An I.E.P. is required.

Adult Recreation Program

 Ages 17+

A recreation program for individuals with special needs, ages 17 and older. Nightly activities include sports, game room and movie room. Scheduled activities will include life skills, arts & crafts, music, dancing, and martial arts. (activities subject to change)

Session Dates: Jan 10, 24; Feb 7, 21; Mar 7, 21

Adaptive Recreation “Shadow” Program

The Adaptive Recreation Program provides trained volunteers to “shadow” children during most recreation programs. The shadow works with the specific needs of the child to help him or her participate more comfortably within the parameters of the program. Livingston Advisory Committee on Disabilities

Under the supervision of the Livingston Department of Health, Welfare and Human Services, the Committee on Disabilities serves both as an advisory board concerned with issues within the Township relating to persons with disabilities and ADA compliance and also provides periodic activities to the disabled community in town.
