TOWNSHIP OF LIVINGSTON
RULES GOVERNING USE OF TENNIS/PICKLEBALL COURTS

  • Tennis / Pickleball courts must be vacated every hour, on the hour, regardless of time played or score. No one may play on any of the sixteen (16) public courts during two consecutive hours if a waiting line exists.  NOTE:  This rule will apply only when no other empty courts are available at that location.
  • One player may not hold or occupy a court alone if a waiting line exists. During extremely busy hours, players are encouraged to play doubles.
  • Tennis sneakers must be worn.
  • Teaching of private lessons is not permitted on the courts.
  • During the times of Senior, Youth & Leisure Services, instruction as well as Livingston High School and Heritage Middle School Sports Programs – limited tennis courts may be available to the general public for use.
  • No more than six (6) balls are permitted on a court.
  • Ball hoppers are prohibited other than SYLS and school programs.
  • Tennis courts are for Tennis or Pickleball play only. No other activities are allowed as per Town Ordinance.
  • Sunday mornings 8 AM – 12 noon is restricted use for 16 years of age and older.
  • No Skateboards, roller blades, bikes, carriages, chairs, etc. permitted on courts
