The Town Clerk’s office provides forms for Voter Registration, Vote by Mail Applications, and Change of Party Affiliation.

Important Election Dates and Deadlines:
Party Affiliation Change: At least 55 days prior to Primary Election date.
Voter Registration: At least 21 days before the Primary Election date. A New Jersey resident who is at least 17 years of age may pre-register to vote, but cannot vote until reaching the age of 18.
Absentee Ballot: Must be received by County Clerk not less than 7 days before the Election by mail, or by 3 p.m. in person, the day before the Election.
The Clerk’s office holds a nighttime voter registration until 9 pm on the 21st day before the election.
2017 Voter Registration Deadlines:
Primary Election Nighttime Voter Registration – May 15, 2017
General Election Nighttime Voter Registration – October 17, 2017
Vote by Mail Ballots (formerly known as Absentee Ballots): Only the person applying for the absentee ballot can pick up the application. In case of illness, a messenger can obtain an absentee ballot from the County Clerk’s office upon presentation of a request signed by the voter. Once a person applies for the absentee ballot, they cannot vote in person at the polls.
