PARKS
East Hills Park, Shrewsbury Drive

Prospect Park, Laurel Avenue
Includes: Natural area hiking & biking trails.
Located on Shrewsbury Dr. between East Mount Pleasant and Laurel Avenues, Prospect Park is a beautiful forested 29-acre parcel of Township preserved property. Hiking and mountain biking trails, along with interpretive and handicapped accessible trails, opened in October 2010.
Livingston Dog Park is located in East Hills Park, on Shrewsbury Drive, 8/10 mile south of East Mount Pleasant Avenue.
The Livingston Dog Park was established in 2003 at East Hills Park. There are two fenced-in areas, one for dogs 25 lbs. or less, and a larger area for dogs of all sizes.
Riker Hill Art Park was a United States Army Nike Missile Base in the 1950’s. The tract was purchased from the federal government for one [$1.00] dollar, in 1974. The buildings that once housed army facilities have been converted to art studios where sculpture, painting, photography, and various crafts now flourish. Riker Hill is a 204.68-acre complex off Beaufort Avenue located in the western section of Essex County and is composed of three parts: 1) The Riker Hill Art Park, a 42-acre former US Nike missile tracking base, acquired in 1977. Its former army barracks are now occupied by artists, sculptors and craftsmen; 2) Dinosaur Park, a 16-acre tract acquired in 1970—well known throughout the state as the site of the smallest dinosaur tracks ever found (This park is not open to the public) and 3) Becker Park, a 147-acre tract of undeveloped parkland that was purchased in 1969 in part through the Green Acres Program. Becker Park. This 146.73-acre tract in Livingston and Roseland located off Eagle Rock Avenue was acquired by the Essex County Park Commission in 1969 with combined county, state, and federal funds. The land is contiguous with Riker Hill Art Park and Dinosaur Park, and together with these forms the Riker Hill Complex. Becker Park Map

Okner Sports Complex

Livingston Skate Park
Located on So. Livingston Avenue between the YMCA and the New Town Hall, Livingston Skate Park is a skate at your own risk facility, designed for skate boarding, inline skating and BMX biking. Individuals must register and obtain a badge from Livingston Senior, Youth & Leisure Services (SYLS). The badge is in the form of a sticker, which will contain a personal Id # and must be worn on a protective helmet. Individuals also need to complete the Livingston Skate Park “Participant Release of Liability Form.” Participants under the age of 18 must have their parents or
